This image was snapped aboard the International Space Station during expedition 17. At the time of taking the picture Hurricane Ike covered half of Cuba. The Hurricane struck the US coast as a Category 2 Hurricane with constant winds of 175 Kph or 110 mph. Galveston Island was hit with 20 ft tidal wave.
