Full Moon and that Time of the Month

Like most males I am blisfully unaware of the pain and suffering my partner goes through once a month with 'The Period' However is it just me or is it the case that this happens during a full moon. Is it the case that millions of women in whole geograhic regions are all experiencing this at the same time.

If this is true it has far reaching consequences. Two days before a full moon I would suggest thinking very carefully about what you might say to your partner, your female co-worker or any other female in the vicinity. What we are talking about here is a seething cauldron of trouble just waiting to pour on the unprepared male.

If my full moon theory is true, you would need to get in your car and drive for approximately 36 hours before you could approach a female with an innocent question like 'you look a bit off colour today, do you feel OK?". I'm learning slowly as time passes that the female of the species is a wierd and wondeful beast, who on certain days will light up your life and on other days will take on the personality of an angry bear.

I know which one I prefer. So, my suggestion for the few days before and after a full moon take the following precautions:

1. Do not ask where your socks are located. This applies to all other low level stuff that you should be able to remember, but expect your partner to be the font of all knowledge.

2. Buy some flowers and give them the day before the full moon. This may be treated with suspicion but eventually it will smooth things over.

3. Cook the dinner, wash up, put the kids to bed and then offer a back rub. Plus give a back rub that lasts longer than 1 minute.

4. Arrange a babysitter, book a table at her favourite organic restaurant. Don't eye up the waitress !

5. Think before you speak, don't hang around looking sheapish and finally and most importantly do not watch a football match on TV on the night of the full moon. MNF is out in this situation

Live long and prosper !
